Infinity Chamber Poem

Seeing the stars in the midnight sky,
Feeling like you are floating in midair,
Falling out of the galaxy;

You are the only person in the vicinity of your eyes sight,
Then you realize that you are standing on glass,
and you have let your imagination go and anything  is possible;

Next you ask yourself how is this possible,
Looking back into the sky you forget about that sudden thought,
This is the coolest place in the universe.

Oop Wins it for Bango

Andrew Bogut tallied a double-double (17 points, 11 rebounds) and had the game-winning tip-in at the buzzer as the Bucks beat the Pacers 97-95 at home Wednesday. Ersan Ilyasova came off the bench to score 21 and pull down 10 boards.  The Bucks are now 8 and 13; 4.5 games out of the lead for the Eastern Conference Central Division Championship.

Bucks Make Magic Disappear

Andrew Bogut scored a season-high 31 points and tied a season high with 18 rebounds en route to the Bucks' 96-85 win over the visiting Magic on Saturday. Brandon Jennings added 27 points as Milwaukee faced an injury-depleted Orlando squad. Milwaukee has won two of its last four games.

Goggles: The Forgotten Accessory

There was once a time when a basketball uniform consisted of a jersey and a pair of shorts, socks and shoes. That was it. The simple look slowly transformed over time, starting in the 1980s when goggles became a staple of some of the leagues elite.

Bucks Fall to Nuggets

The Bucks couldn't hold a halftime lead in Denver and lost to the Nuggets 105-94 Wed. night. John Salmons had 21 points, Corey Maggette scored 17 off the bench and Brandon Jennings and Larry Sanders each added 14 points. Milwaukee returns home to host the Magic on Saturday.

Bucks Sign Skinner

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed veteran center Brian Skinner (6-9, 255) to a contract, General Manager John Hammond announced Thursday. The move comes after the Bucks requested waivers on rookie guard Darington Hobson (6-7, 210). The Bucks roster now stands at 15 players.

Speak

What might it feel like if your whole school was laughing at you?  What if they thought of you as the thing in the corner.  One might be thinking “What did I do”?  Another possibly could say why they did what they did right then and there.  Personally I would have ran and hid.  Speak shows how it is very hard to tell the truth and the longer you wait to do so it only gets worse.
Think about the emotions Melinda was having while she was raped and how she didn’t know when or how to tell people.  One knew she wanted to tell her parents earlier in the story but she just couldn’t.  She wasn’t ready.  Finally in the end of the book she tells everyone and she gets all of her old friends back.  Rachel even wants to catch up on what they missed together all because she didn’t tell someone right away.  Telling the truth is one thing, but telling the truth right after the incident is another.  Vividly the incident is remembered in one’s mind when people are closest in time to the scene.  It has happened to me before and most likely many others because at first thought you have it in your mind but five seconds later you are thinking about what you were going to say.  It is like taking notes on a story; you should always write down what you were thinking when you read that sentence so that you don’t forget.
In this particular story Melinda’s life got worse and worse as it went along.  It got worse in the way of she still had no friends except for Heather who thought that she needed to join a group which is fine but then she left Melinda.  Melinda’s parents also kept pushing their relationship farther and farther apart.  If she would have told them they might have felt sorry and tried to work out the differences between the two of them.  Parents always disagree about things because they are not perfect.  When they disagree and fight this much it is bringing Melinda down since she knows she has no control over what is going on.  The only thing she could do would be to tell them how she feels. Telling someone how you are feeling inside is very hard to do.  There is no reasoning why it is hard; it just is.  For Melinda it must be extra hard to tell her parents she was raped since that will lead her to thinking about her and IT(Andy Evans).
Eloquently and clearly shown is why you need to tell someone if something bad happens to you right away in this book, a New York Times and Publisher Weekly bestseller Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson.  The message that Mrs. Anderson was trying to show in Speak was that you need to speak up and everything will be ok.

The Big Field

Imagine, being in Florida, Boynton Beach to be exact, playing senior league baseball all summer  long.  Would you ever think of being in the state championship? What might you think if you lost Game One for your team?  Probably not good.  However, your teammates say they have your back; even your enemy, the last of your team sitting on the bus, says, “Let's win this thing” to you. It just goes to show how The Big Field by Mike Lupica tells a tale of teammates of different ages can come together as a whole.

Seniority on a team gives you a leadership role, but when the rookie tries to take that role away, it is not good for a team.  Even though you may say more leaders better organization, but that is not always the case. For this team it is not a good thing because they both want to be the superstar and only leader.  Since they both want to be leaders it causes great conflict between the two of them.  It evens starts a fight.  Fighting is not what you want when you are a team.  Thinking about fighting with a teammate is like a sin in team sports because then it shows that nobody agrees on what to do.  It proves that you have no grasp on how to fix the problem in hand.  That greatly affects how you do on the field or court.  In the story Hutch the main character and Darryl who is being scouted to play in the majors at only age 14 solve there differences and win the championship.  One may think that if players are fighting off the field they may fight on the field as well, but that is not the case; they may fight off the field but not on the field.  On the field they work together.  They work together well and turn the best double play in Florida.

In this day and age leaders are what teams need, but there is a difference between leading and being bossy.  Being bossy can split teams apart.  Trust me I have had it happen before.  Teams must trust each other and play to each others strengths.  A team cannot win without a team effort and you can only have a good team if they get along well and have good chemistry.  That happened to the Milwaukee Bucks team in about 2000 with all of the smart-alec personalities  they all thought they were better than the others.  They talked bad to the media about there teammates and they made it to the eastern conference finals.  This team would've won the whole thing if they were a team and not just players, but they lost it.  They lost it for themselves, there family, there team, and all bucks fans throughout the nation.  It is a sad thing when one person thinks of themselves before someone else.  If you can help someone in need you should; it is just the correct thing to do.

This Saturday, November 27, 2010 my family and I are going to a place called The Gathering in Milwaukee.  The Gathering in run only on volunteers who volunteer there time to serve meals to homeless people who are living on the streets.  I am even giving up badger football tickets.  Even though I want to go to the game it is more important that I use the time that I have to help others. that is what teammates should always be thinking, We not I.  If you are a player don't worry about being seen because it will happen if you are good enough, but it might be better to not worry about that and just play baseball eventhough you might not want to.  There is no I in team.

Mike Lupica's The Big Field just proves that teammates of different ages can come together and win a championship, but there will still be bumps in the road like there normally are.  Being a good teammate has proven to win more games for teams.  More teams need to work on there team chemistry because that is what makes teams better.  Chemistry on and off the court.

Bucks Edged by Thunder

Brandon Jennings scored 25 points but the Bucks fell 82-81 at home to the Thunder Saturday night. Drew Gooden had a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Andrew Bogut finished with eight points and 12 rebounds.

The milwaukee buck fell to the Seventy sixers with a score of 90 to 79.  Led in scoring by corey maggette who has carried the load for alot of games this season who had 20 points. i have nothing more to say but that was a terrible loss to a 2 and 10 team who we should have blown out.  Now we are 5 and 7.

Bucks Fall Short to NBA Champs

The LA Lakers won which seamed to be an easy game for them 118 to 107.  The Bucks Had big performances from Drew Gooden who was hussling all over the place, he had 22 points, Brandon Jennings who had 31 points went back and forth with Kobe who also had 31 points, and Corey Maggette had 15 points.
Overall we had a good showing and now we are 5 and 6 and ready to roll.

Bucks Beat Golden State

The Milwaukee Bucks put a dagger in the hopes of the Warriors on the night of November 13.  The Bucks gave a beatdown to the warriors beating them 79 to 72.  I have to remind you that exactly 1 year ago Brandon Jennings threw down 55 on the Warriors which is what made him a known in the NBA.  Jenning had 19 points last night and John Salmons had 26 points.  Andrew Bogut had an off night but he still got his boards.  He had 8 points and 17 rebounds.

Bucks Get Revenge From Last Years Playoffs

The Bucks put out another impresive showing this time against the Atlanta Hawks who beat the bucks in 7 games in last years first round.  The score was 108 to 91. The bucks won tonight with a TEAM effort that is what make it so significant. We had 4 players with at least 15 points.  They were Brandon Jennings, Corey Maggette, Ersan Ilyasova, John Salmon.  Today we won the boards battle by 12. Now we are 4 and 5 and on the rise.

Bucks Blowout Knicks

The Milwaukee Bucks blew out the NY Knicks by 27 points last night.  Where we really beat the Knicks was on the boards.  We out rebounded them by 11 rebounds.  Last night our offense was electric and our defense was tenacious.  We had 7 players in double figures.  Led by Milwaukee's star Brandon Jennings who had 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists the bucks had a very good showing for the home croud fans.

Hornet's and CP3 Stay Undefeated Beat Bucks by 6

The Milwaukee Bucks lost to the New Orleans Hornets 87 to 81.  The reason we lost was because the Hornets made 5 more Free-Throws than the Bucks but they had 2 more attemps.  If we tie them in Free-Throws Made we are right back in the game and have a chance to win it in the end.  I must say we have a clutch Free-Throw shooter in Corey maggette whose career average is around 82 % but this season at the charity stripe he has shot almost 90 %.  If I could vote I would vote for him for the sixth man award.  Now the Bucks have fallin to 2 and 5.  Next up is the Knicks on November 9. I don't know about you but I am feeling a blowout.  Let's see what happens.

Nice Road Win @ Pacers

The Indiana Pacers have lost at home to the Milwaukee Bucks with the final score being 94 to 90.  The Bucks were led by John Salmon's 22 points and Brandon Jennings 18 points.  Luc Mbah a Moute had 15 rebounds which was huge on the night Andrew Bogut was out with a migraine. Now the Bucks have improved there record to 2 and 4.

Tough Loss @ Boston

The Milwaukee bucks lost a tough hard faught game to the Boston Celtics 105 to 102.  We played a good game they just played 3 points better.  I have to complement Rajon Rondo on a 15 assists game.  Man is he a game changer.  We had 6 players in double figures.  This puts us at 1 and 4 but no worries we have 75 more games to turn it around.

Bucks Fall Again

The Milwaukee Bucks lost this past November 2 to the Portland Trailblazers with the score of 90 to 76.  Leading scorer for the good guys was Corey Maggette who had 16 points.  Overall it was not a good night for the bucks who made 27 out of 72 shots taken.  That is only 37.5 %.  Let's hope they do better next game.

Bucks Beat Bobcats

The Bucks Beat the Bobcats 98 to 88.  Led in scoring by Carlos Delfino who scored 23 points and BJ ( Brandon Jennings ) who added 20 points to that.  Brandon also had 10 rebounds and 10 assists so he had the complete TRIPLE DOUBLE.  Thats right Milwaukee's superstar dropped a triple double on the Charlotte Bobcats. Now the Bucks are 1 and 2 and the Charlotte Bobcats fall to 0 and 3.

Bucks Lose Again

The Milwaukee Bucks have lost again this time to the Minnisota Timberwolves with the score of 96 to 85.  Our leading scorer was Corey Maggette who had 23 points off the bench.  Corey has been money off the bench for the bucks this season.  Brandon Jennings led the offense with 7 assists.  Also Andrew Bogut added 10 rebounds.

Hornets Knock Off Bucks

The New Orleans Hornets knocked off the Milwaukee Bucks 95 to 91 and it took the full team effort in the loss. 5 of the bucks scored 15 or more points. Those players were Carlos delfino, Dwight gooden, Andrew Bogut, Brandon Jennings and Corey Maggette. Carlos led the scoring with 19 points and he made 5 three pointers. The season opener was a good game and we must hope there will be many more except we are on the winning end.  The bucks are 0 and 1.

T'wolves win a Nail-Biter over the Bucks

The bucks fell in heartbreaking fashion Friday October 22 to the Minnesota Timberwolves with the final being 119 to 118.  The bucks leading scorer was Carlos Delfino who scored 18 and made 3 three pointers.  Carlos also had 8 rebounds and 8 assists.  That left him 2 rebounds and 2 assist shy of a triple double.  For the T'wolves there leading scorer, a former Buck, Luke Ridnour ended the game with 17 points while going 10 for 10 from the charity stripe.

Cleveland Wins Again without LeBron

The Cleveland Caveliers won again in this preseason this time beating the Milwaukee Bucks by 6 points.  The final score was 83 to 77.  Chris Douglas-Roberts led the scoring attack with 16 points and Ersan IIyasova had 9 boards.  Also leading the Cavs in scoring was Ramon Sessions who had 26 points along with 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

Grizz Beat Bucks Stay Undefeated

The Milwaukee bucks fell to the undefeated memphis grizzlies tonight with the final score of 91 to 77. The buck are now 3 and 3. The grizzlies are a surprising 6 and 0, but its only preseason.  next off we play at the devestated town of cleveland who has surprised most by starting the preseason at 5 and 2. should be a tough one. One more thing, the regular season home opener starts in 10 days so buy your tickets today.

Does Patriotism Matter?

Does Patriotism Still Matter?

Patriotism Matters. Patriotism matters when you want a job.  Patriotism matters since it resembles the lives lost in war for us to be free.  The great citizens of our nation are why patriotism matters.  Patriotism is being a good citizen and doing the little thing to help.  Being a patriot is an honor and a privilege since people gave up there life for me, my family, my town, and the USA.
When I asked my two grandpas  how there army and navy experiences were they said astonishing how hard it was just to get through a day of training, way harder than they thought it would be.  They were stressed everyday not being able to see their family, but in the end they said it was worth it because when they came back all the "Thank you for your hard work" they got from people who they didn’t know was what they worked their butts off for.  That is why patriotism matters.  Freedom of speech is what makes our country a better place and that is patriotism. But being a patriot would not be possible if the 5 million people who have ever been in the armed forces which include the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and lastly the Coast Guard don't do what they have and will keep doing.  That is why whenever I see a veteran I say thank you for all you have done.  That is what many other people and me do to show that patriotism matters and should keep being an importance to the people of our nation. Patriotism matters since armed forces members put their heart, soul, sweat, love, and tears into our country.  So patriotism does matter and we should love our country since on the other side of the world quite possibly nobody has the rights we have. We should always say “Thank You” when you see a veteran or a current armed forces member.
Being a patriot can be to being in the wars to donating a dollar to a charitable cause.  It could also be going to the party with drinks tomorrow night or going to the party without drinks.  Patriotism matters in making good decisions.  That it what patriotism is all about.  Since I went to the party without drinks, I had fun and I made my town a better place, but it wasn't just me.  Even though some people went to the party with drinks me and my 10 to 15 friends went to the party without drinks.  We had a great time and those people who were at the other party got in trouble for underage drinking. Patriotism Matters.

The Brewers 2010

The brewers stink. The Milwaukee brewers have stunk in the year of 2010  with a record of 77-85. Fourteen games out of the lead for the National League Central Division. That is not what us brewers fans had in mind. Then again we didn't expect the Cincinnati Reds to play the way they did. Well maybe some of us had thought it would be this horrific pitching staff led by Yovani Gallardo.
We need some pitching, good pitching other than Yovani they all stink while our bullpen has been OK but that’s not the problem the problem is getting through the sixth inning with our starter which has been the main cause of a lot of the brewers losses this season that and mental mistakes.  Since we were not able to get through the sixth the bullpen had to work overtime, but they bared down and had a pretty good season. Oh and what a season Manny Parra had a pathetic season where he has gone 3 and 10 with a 5.02 era. The only good things for me that happened this season was Chris Capuanos return after two Tommy John Surgery's and Trevor Hoffman got his 600th save.  What mental toughness those guys have.  Hats off to them.  Trevor Hoffman is a blue collar athlete since he goes to work every day, works hard, and this year he had a chip on his shoulder when he lost his role as the closer early in the season.  He deserved to get to 600.  Chris Capuano convinced me this season that he is a good bullpen pitcher and maybe a number 5 pitcher, but the problem was he never got his chance to be a starter.  He never got his chance since Ken Macha doesn't know how to coach baseball.  The only reason he was good as a coach for the Oakland Athletics was because they already had a dominant pitching staff.  I will bet all brewers fans are happy they fired Ken Macha.  Chris proved to me this season the most he is a fighter.  To get through what he did was a miracle, but it wasn't a miracle since miracles happen with a lot of luck. He  worked hard every day to get back to where he was before he was injured.  He might not ever be where he was but I know for a fact that he is and will keep working his but off to get better.
I think that this year our bats were not that bad, they were just very inconsistent. I believe that we need to trade Prince Fielder now while we have a chance to get something, maybe a good pitcher for him.  Prince will problably go to a team with a lot of money and win a lot of championchips.  The new york yankees will likely snatch him up.
The pitching staff for the brewers in the year of 2010 was almost excruciating pain to watch them.  All i hope for next season is that they improve by taking second place in the division at least and maybe making the playoffs, but thats back on the miracle side of things

Milwaukee Bucks 2010-2011

Are you eager for the 2010-2011 Bucks season? I know I am since they went to the playoffs last season with a thrilling ending to what at first seemed to be a rebuilding season. Don't get your hopes to high though cause we still have those heat in the eastern conference. All I am trying to say is don't get your hopes to high but expect a 50 win season because there is no more going down everything is going up except in the loss category.
The Milwaukee Bucks are headed in the right direction as they went to the playoffs and took the 4 seed Hawks to 7 games. I think last year proved to all fans that Micheal Redd is a ball hog who at times makes the team worse.  That is not what matters though what matters is the now.  Now we have a star in Brandon Jennings the tenth overall pick from a year ago.  We beat the bulls in the first game of the preseason.  The score being 92 to 83.  Next on the schedule was the pistons.  The bucks went to Detroit and lost by five, but they showed me that they got over the loss since they went to the Rusch center, a neutral site and beat the bobcats by 8.  Next on the schedule is the Washington wizards. i am interested to see how the two young guards play.  them being Brandon Jennings of the bucks and john wall the number one overall pick from the wizards.
This season the bucks have 10 games that will be nationally televised.  One thing that makes me mad is the fact that the bucks aren't televising any preseason games.  The only televised game is October 15th against the wizards on NBA TV, which isn't even on normal.  I think that our preseason games should be televised locally since us fans want to see them and some brief glimpses of the rookies this season.  Them being Tiny Gallon out of the university of Oklahoma, Darington Hobson of the University of New Mexico, Chris Kramer from the University of Purdue, and Larry Sanders from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). These rookies should make big strides this year since they have the veterans to show them the ropes. this year us bucks fans will expect great things from Brandon Jennings Milwaukee's young star. Only in his second year now the bucks are already a better team than two years ago.  Last year Brandon averaged 15.5 points per game.  That was good enough for third in the team and that was also good for twenty-second in the league.  Though likely his main statistic was his 5.7 assists per game.  That shows that he gets his teammates involved in the game.
Even though the bucks had a good season last year that doesn't mean that they will have a good season this year cause I love the bucks but they need to prove to me that they can be good for a long time.  One year is not what we want.  We want a long dynasty like the Bulls were in the ninety's.  Us bucks fans should expect the bucks to go to the playoffs and maybe the second round this year.  All I want to see out of the bucks this year is improvement since if they improve enough they might have a slim chance to beat the Heat and I would like to see them do that.

Response To "A Clean Well lighted Place"

Old and young people are very different. For instance, old people are slower, crabbier, and sometimes need help to do the simple things in life.  On the other hand young people aren’t quite as mature so they don’t have as much sympathy for old people.  The short story “A Clean Well Lighted Place” by Ernest Hemmingway shows how young people and old people are different.
Young people and old people are different in many aspects of life.  One of those aspects may be that old people are more prepared than young people probably since they are more experienced. Since they are older they may have been in the same position as a kid so they know how to change what they did wrong the first time.  Also young people are not as knowledgeable since they think they know everything. Just like the young waiter in the story, he thinks he can do whatever he wants. Old people on the other hand are a whole other story. They are well organized unlike some young people who are still learning the skill of organization.
Normally wealthy people are rich and think they shouldn't talk to poor people ,but they are missing the whole point of wealth.  In the story the old man was not wealthy, he may have been wealthy in the bank but that is not wealth.  Wealth is having good friends who will help you when you need it or a great family.  The old man has none of that.  The young waiter thought money was everything but that is becasue he does not understand that yet.  He should not assess people for that though.  In the story the old man walked with dignity.  Walking with dignity is a sign that you have pride. Then in the story the young waiter was wondering why the old man thought about suicide when he had plenty of money.  Just because you have may have no or little friends you still should not think about suicide.  life is a gift from God and he gave us that gift for us to use not to give away.  The old man should be thinking about living life to the fullest.  The young waiter in the story resembles what not to be as a young adult since he was inconsiderate that the old man may have been happy to just be alive.  Also since he did not understand that money isnt the most important thing in everyones existinence in this world.
Young people and old people have many differences which are clearly stated in this shory story.  Perhaps a similarity may be that the two older men are both poor, lonely old men. Another similarity is that the old waiter understands the old man’s loneliness since he is lonely. A difference is that the young waiter has no sympathy for old people in this story since he does not relate or understand them. He doesn’t understand them since he hasn’t been through what they have been through.  The young waiter especailly doesn't understand the old man since the old man doesn't have very much money and the young waiter feels that money is everything in life so if you don't have money you shall not live. If the old man wanted to commit suicide he would have but he didn’t and he is alive so it doesn’t matter anymore.  In the story the old man may be what Hemingway thought of himself to be when he was in his sixty’s, even though the old man wasn’t suicidal, Hemingway was. Hemingway was born on July 21, 1899 and died on July 2, 1961 due to being suicidal.
People of all ages are unique and different in special ways and if someone cant realize that, that is there problem.  Those differences are clearly shown in the famous story “A Clean Well Lighted Place” by well known writer Earnest Hemmingway.  People dont realize that money isn’t everything.  Also everyone should do there best at whatever they do because God gave us all the gift of life and we should never waste that.
