Does Patriotism Matter?

Does Patriotism Still Matter?

Patriotism Matters. Patriotism matters when you want a job.  Patriotism matters since it resembles the lives lost in war for us to be free.  The great citizens of our nation are why patriotism matters.  Patriotism is being a good citizen and doing the little thing to help.  Being a patriot is an honor and a privilege since people gave up there life for me, my family, my town, and the USA.
When I asked my two grandpas  how there army and navy experiences were they said astonishing how hard it was just to get through a day of training, way harder than they thought it would be.  They were stressed everyday not being able to see their family, but in the end they said it was worth it because when they came back all the "Thank you for your hard work" they got from people who they didn’t know was what they worked their butts off for.  That is why patriotism matters.  Freedom of speech is what makes our country a better place and that is patriotism. But being a patriot would not be possible if the 5 million people who have ever been in the armed forces which include the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and lastly the Coast Guard don't do what they have and will keep doing.  That is why whenever I see a veteran I say thank you for all you have done.  That is what many other people and me do to show that patriotism matters and should keep being an importance to the people of our nation. Patriotism matters since armed forces members put their heart, soul, sweat, love, and tears into our country.  So patriotism does matter and we should love our country since on the other side of the world quite possibly nobody has the rights we have. We should always say “Thank You” when you see a veteran or a current armed forces member.
Being a patriot can be to being in the wars to donating a dollar to a charitable cause.  It could also be going to the party with drinks tomorrow night or going to the party without drinks.  Patriotism matters in making good decisions.  That it what patriotism is all about.  Since I went to the party without drinks, I had fun and I made my town a better place, but it wasn't just me.  Even though some people went to the party with drinks me and my 10 to 15 friends went to the party without drinks.  We had a great time and those people who were at the other party got in trouble for underage drinking. Patriotism Matters.
